As followers of Jesus, we have an rich history of men and women who have gone before us. These people, empowered by the Holy Spirit, did amazing things in the name of Jesus. The book of Acts records many of these stories in beautiful detail. These are stories of normal people who were given a supernatural calling to shake the world with the gospel of Jesus! But these stories were not written so that we could just have good stories, they were written to remind us of where we came from, and inspire us to continue living out the story. The same Holy Spirit that empowered the people in the book of Acts, is the same Spirit that lives in us today. So as we read these stories, may we be inspired to continue shaking the world with the gospel.
